Just got a new G34/gen 5. Came with an X3 as a distributor package deal. Luv’n it! Thx!

I like the optic, the dot is clear and crisp and the controls are easy, perhaps too easy. Often when I set the pistol down on it’s left side, it will bump the on button. It does stick out a bit on the left side. Will definitely be considering Riton when I buy my next optic. Would give 4 1/2 stars if that was an option.

  3. Dmak

Been using one for about 4 months now and have no complaints so far. I prefer the reflex style to the tube style optics and this one is about as small as they come. I also have a Vortex Venom and a Leupold Delta point and the x3 is very comparable and is very much a competitor. I really like that the x3 has rear iron sights built into the design.

My only issue is that it is made in Chicom, not a deal breaker cause darn near everything is made there these days.

  4. Keith C

Its low profile, clear glass and a bright red dot. The thing that impressed me is the warranty. I had a small issue with the mount so I emailed RITON. I received a reply that same day that acknowledged my issue and informing a new one was in the mail. Thanks Dave F, I wish more expensive brands of glass offered this level of service.

  5. Austin Hager

Love this optic. I have it mounted to my FN 509 Tactical with FN’s mounting plate for RMR. The dot is great and the controls are excellent. The only complaint I’ve had has been on the adjustment screws. They’re very stiff and absolutely not sound or feel to the adjustments. Initial zero was a bit of a pain but otherwise the optic has been outstanding.

As far as bang for your buck goes, this is it. Superior red dot quality at 1/2 the price of the guys. If you’re on the fences, hopefully this pushes you over. Easy to see red dot, great eye relief, and never have to worry about battery with it.

Mounted to my Glock 17. The three moa dot is adjustable for any lighting condition. Love the dot so much that I bought two more to mount on my precision rifle and AR in order to cowitness my scopes for quicker target acquisition at distance. With the no hassle warranty your investment is safe with this red dot.

I have several of these, and they are deployed as handgun dots and offset dots on AR rifles. Killer value for this kind of optic with so many different uses, highly recommend.

  9. LR

I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to shoot many different dots. DPP, RMR, SRO, Venom, 507, and 509. While all of them are great dots I find the value you get with the X3 to be the best bang for your buck. I run my X3 on a Glock 17 and find that it is much more streamlined than some of the other options on the market, yet I never feel like the window of the sight is too small. This would lend itself to benefit those who concealed carry. The dot is crisp and holds zero well. As other reviews have mentioned, the adjustment screws are a touch stiff, but I never found it to be so much of an issue that I would gripe about it.

So it’s been just over a year since I threw the x3 TAXTIX PRD on my 17 MOS. And after several hundred rounds through it I decided to tell you what I think.
Full disclosure, yes I am prostaff with Riton Optics, and no I didn’t get this for free. I just want give you honest feedback from real results.
The X3 is an affordable pistol red dot option that offers a 3moa dot. Not too big and not too small. Even on the highest setting I never noticed any starburst effect.
I’m not going to lie, I didn’t expect to see this little guy make it at first. Usually with dots under 300 bucks it doesn’t end well, but she has kept on trucking.
Keeping zero was another question I had. I have worked in the industry for a bit, and I have seen the “low cost” options fail at keeping zero. Yet again, after several hundred rounds, I put the dot where I want it and it’s good.
I also was a bit worried with the glass on the X3. I don’t abuse my firearms, but I’m not gentle either. Even though this had a rubber shroud (that could fit a little better), I have placed my Glock in my holster inside my range bag, with Lord knows what other stuff bouncing around in there, and still no nasty scratches to complain about.
All in all I am pretty happy with thing. It’s lived up to the promises that RITON has made!
If you are looking for a pistol red dot, and you want to support an American, veteran owned company, give RITON a look!!

  11. Albert Seybold

Great little red dot. I have it mounted on my daily carry piece and on my 22/45. Excellent sight picture and easy to operate switches make this thing super nice to use. No more removing your optic to replace batteries which means no more rezeroing afterwards. The rmr footprint allows for this optic to be used all across the board with almost any weapons platform that you through it at. I highly recommend this if you are looking into carry optics or just a nice low profile dot for your rifle. This thing will do it.

My Co worker got one for his Glock 17 MOS and asked me to mount it and do some T&E for him. He had some difficulty with the mounting screws and called Riton customer service for some help and they were very helpful for him, they even sent him some mounting screws at no charge and he received the screws a few days after he called. It was super easy to mount. Zeroing was just as easy. After every adjustment I was able to just walk the point of impact down until I was hitting where I was aiming. It took me just a few minutes to have it zeroed. After that, the fun continued. I was shooting good groups out at 15 yards. The PRD has a good range of brightness settings for any lighting. It also came with a nice cover for the optic. Overall, I loved it and I will be adding at least one to my own inventory!

  13. Shane Revels

I love my Prd. The sight glass is crisp and clear. Also, one of the biggest things I like is, it almost has rear sights integrated into it. It’s easily adjustable, looks great and functions great. I did have it it on a Glock 19x. I just got rid of that so I will be moving it to my ar pistol. I’ll sight it in for the ar platform soon.

  14. Peter Wilson

I’m so excited by the fact I just saw this product is being shipped! I have some of the other products and this was at the top of my list of wants! Putting this on top of my Canik tp9sfx!

  15. Jay S

I have this on my new Walther Q4 TAC, came as a package deal on gunbuyer.com website. It is my first red dot for a pistol and I love it. My groups are much tighter and I have extended my range up to 25 yds. It takes a while to learn to shoot with both eyes open but this has obvious advantages if you are in a dangerous situation. It is simply amazing how much better I shoot with my red dot vs. iron sights. I just bought a second Riton product off the opticsplanet.com site. Money well spent!
